![]() ![]() I created a template for this fraction dominoes puzzle that is designed to print on 11 x 17 cardstock. ![]() Previously, I shared Mochalov’s Domino Pyramid Puzzle which involves perfect squares. This is the second domino puzzle from this puzzle creator that I have typed up to use in my math classroom. I originally found the puzzle in Mochalov’s Totally Tough Brainteasers book, but it is also available for free on his website. ![]() Each domino tile should be considered as a fraction. This fraction dominoes puzzle asks students to arrange an entire set of dominoes (except for the 0:0 tile) to form six correct addition equations involving fractions. Stick by stick, he solved each math fact and moved the matching answer in place. He searched through the pile of sticks until he found the pink 3. My son randomly picked one of the dominoes from the pile and read the yellow dot. ![]() Mixing up the problems and solutions is what makes the domino game work so be sure to put them on different sticks. Then I stuck one yellow math fact on the left side of each popsicle stick and attached a pink sum to the right side of a different popsicle stick. I wrote +2 addition facts on yellow dots and the answers on pink dots. I grabbed our jumbo-sized popsicle sticks, a pack of colorful dot stickers and a black Sharpie.
